Spyware and Implementing Network Security to Prevent it Essay

Spyware and Implementing Network Security to Prevent it - Essay Example Spyware may gather various kinds of data. A few variations endeavor to follow the sites a client visits and afterward send this data to a publicizing organization. The scourge of spyware will be here for a long time, basically on the grounds that the assailant get such a lot of money flow from it. Consequently, assailants have a personal stake to continually adjust their product and make it perpetually subtle and clingy. Moreover, the stakes are significantly higher if the aggressor can take charge card or financial balance data. Ten Haggadot Recommendations For Your Passover Meal

Ten Haggadot Recommendations For Your Passover Meal Set your seder plates and hide the afikomen: Passover is here! If youre the type who likes to add a little new flavor to each years Pesach celebration, varying the haggadotthe plural term for the book that outlines the order of the seder mealyour use is a great method. Heres a list of ten options and supplements that you might consider, with a few hints about what makes each Haggadah unlike any other. (The puns, I say with faux regret, are your plague to weather.) Dontpass over!these great haggadot: The Maxwell House Haggadah this is the one most folks are familiar with, because, at one point, it was on almost every American seder table, and free in many grocery stores, so: consumable and familiar. Easy to follow, it comes in   pamphlet form, so its not hard to acquire a copy for every participant, and Hebrew with English translations makes for easy following along. Its major benefit is that its classic and nostalgic. The Journey Continues: The Mayan Passover Haggadah A great option for your feminist seder, not only because you wont have to write Miriams cup and the orange in; theyre already there, and this haggadah even preserves the controversy over who came up with the orange. (As a woman firmly on team Heschel, I dont personally spend much time with that passage.) Gender inclusive language and lots of good advice for using the seder as a starting off point to effect positive change in the world. Why On This Night?: A Passover Haggadah For Family Celebration Compiled to be approachable for children. Poems, songs, recipes, and beautiful illustrations accompany the traditional order. Reads from left to right; light on Hebrew; language of prayers not gender inclusive, though. A nice way to introduce children to the story elements of the seder, and to get them excited about their part in it, which can be more involved than just a few questions. The Haggadah (Artscroll Mesorah) for the learnin inclined amongst you. Probably actually better for study, and not for leading a seder, unless youre leading a seder amongst, say, fellow theology students. This edition (is gorgeous and) incorporates Talmudic/halachic explanations for each moment in the seder, including for preparation in advance of it. Is largely intended to help those who read it find [their] own way to unlock the treasures ofPesach. (Yeah, I made that gender neutral myself.) New American Haggadah or, the book nerds haggadah of choice, as it was compiled by Jonathan Safran Foer and translated by Nathan Englander. Foer incorporates the words and thoughts of fellow writers and Jewish thinkers at each stage of the seder; mini essays run through the pages, arranged in visually stimulating ways, and you can choose to highlight those that move you most. This is a great option, and definitely a necessary addition to any haggadot collection. The Womens Haggadah for a brief, wholly feminist, very modern seder, this is a great option. It doesnt just incorporate womens symbols like the cup of Miriam; it makes women centralin the story of the exodus, and in every internal consideration of how Pesach has traditionally been celebrated, right down to using shekhinahthought of as the feminine spirt of the divineto address God, rather than any traditionally masculine moniker. A really healthy way to remember the exodus from wholly a womens perspective. The Family Haggadah positives first? This is inexpensive and thorough and compact. It is NOT, say, ideal for those of us who decide to buy haggadot to lead seders for the first time, who are sharing a table with those not fluent in Hebrew (who are, perhaps, not fluent themselves, even), and who feel compelled to change every masculine reference to a feminine one as they lead. In such situations, this haggadah leads to a seder that falls apart very quickly. But is it really this haggadahs fault if it falls into such hands? (Highlighters work well, if you want to trim it for use in following years. Hypothetically.) The Union Haggadah Im linking the 1923 version intentionally. This is Reform Judaisms contemporary answer to the seder from almost a century ago. Its very worth having, not only to see how traditions develop and change, but for a means of examining how were still all stretching in the tradition. For those who want to celebrate the fact that Passover, though a celebration of an escape that took place millennia ago, is very much a holiday for living Jewish communities. Build Your Own Haggadah so many great published options! Still, sometimes someone elses version of a haggadah doesnt hit all the notes you want. For those of us who want to add our own touch, there are sites like Haggadot.com for building your own, and others, like Reform Judaism and the American Jewish World Service, tend to provide printable supplements for social justice themes. It is easy to find supplements like this Black Lives Matter one to recognize contemporary movements for freedom. You can also get creativemy Hebrew school class came up with a list of ten modern plagues, including homelessness and global warming, that we decided to mention alongside the biblical plagues at our family tables. The Non-Haggadah, skipping the seder option for the truly secular amongst us: if youre not into traditional Pesach observance, but still want to connect to the community in some way, you can always read Geraldine Brookss literary preservation/adventure novel, People of the Book, which traces the priceless Sarajevo Haggadah across centuries. A very worthwhile way to observe but not. BONUSsomebody please write this Haggadah: Haggadah Davida.   Well call it a hard rock way to observe the seder, for the appearance of legitimacy. Haggadah Davida, honeyits yours, if youre up for it. All I ask is that you send me a copy once its done; Im eager to reference it freely. Feel free to name your favorite Haggadah in the comments section, and Chag Sameach!

Dutch Artist Vincent Van Gogh - 888 Words

â€Å"The life of an artist is a gamble, what a gamble, it’s all or nothing.† As for post-impressionist and Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, nothing is what was received. Out of the nine-hundred paintings produced within ten years, only one was sold. Van Gogh was often ridiculed by other artists about his work and he had very few friends. One of his closest friends was his younger brother Theodorus â€Å"Theo† van Gogh. Vincent would often write to Theo and on various occasions he would write about the hardships of life, including the ways in which he was treated. In one particular letter he wrote â€Å"I wish they would only take me as I am.† Van Gogh suffered from temporal lobe epilepsy and mental illness, most commonly believed to be manic†¦show more content†¦In Vincent van Gogh’s oil painting, he used an even amount of primary and secondary colors. In Starry Night, the dark values of the blues and greens contrast greatly with the lighter values of the yellows and oranges. On the subject of the colors, he stated â€Å"There is no blue without yellow and without orange.†5 The high saturation of the work differs from the low saturation of Sower with Setting Sun also known as The Sower. The Sower is a drawing with pen and brown ink. The color brown is found in the yellow-red section of the color wheel and is a low saturation and low value hue. The brown ink gives the drawing a warm appearance whereas the blue hues in Starry Night have a more distant and cold feeling about them. Sower with Setting Sun is said to be influenced by Jean Francois’ Millet of a Sower, created in 1850, just thirty-eight years before Vincent van Gogh’s drawing of The Sower. Van Gogh, who had a religious upbringing and even became a pastor himself,2 may have also been inspired by Matthew 13 of the Bible , which says: â€Å"And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched;Show MoreRelatedVincent Van Gogh Essay example1437 Words   |  6 PagesVincent van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter, whose work represents the archetype of expressionism, the idea of emotional spontaneity in painting. Strategic Growth and Issues Associated with the Strategic Direction

The modern global market provides a lot of opportunities for the companies’ development. To success within the market, it is necessary to focus on the definite aspects of the companies’ strategic direction. It is possible to refer to many corporate strategies used to increase the company’s potential within the market.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Strategic Growth and Issues Associated with the Strategic Direction specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More However, there are also concerns and barriers which can prevent the firm from the successful development and growth according to the international standards. From this point, it is necessary to determine four main issues the focus on which is important for developing the effective company’s strategic direction. Thus, the increase of the company’s potential is based on the effectiveness of the new product introduction. To guarantee the success of the process, it is important to pay attention to the patent and design issues in order to protect the usage of innovation by the company. The introduction of the new product can contribute to the company’s global presence with references to the expansion into new markets. To meet to the tendencies of the global market, it is necessary to respond to the culture and gender issues developing the approaches to recruitment. Thus, the issues of the new product introduction, patent and design protection, the expansion of the global market participation, and specifics of the culture and gender questions are closely connected with each other, and they can affect the company’s development with references to the strategic direction significantly. The global business environment is more competitive today in comparison with the situation typical for decades ago. Much attention is paid to the quality and effectiveness of the strategies proposed to develop firms within th e market. From this perspective, a strategic direction used by the company is its way to achieve significant success in industry. However, the implementation of effective strategies is often associated with resolving the problematic issues and concerns. Many approaches to strategic direction with references to the concept of strategic importance depend on gaining competitive advantage (Chaiprasit 2009).Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More To stay competitive, it is important not only to support and promote the existing brands but also to introduce new products responding to the customers’ expectations. Introduction of a New Product The introduction of a new product is the guarantee of stimulating the customers’ interest to the brand. Nevertheless, companies should focus on such issues as the market potential for introducing a new product, the competitiveness of the market, the costs of the product’s development, technological and innovation issues, the time limits for introduction, and all the associated risks. To introduce a new product, it is necessary to orient to the target customers as well as to the potential customers who can become interested in a product proposed. In spite of the fact there are a lot of risks connected with the possible success of the product within the market, the introduction can be realised effectively basing on responding to the above-mentioned factors. To introduce a new product, the company focuses on usage of new resources and on following new behaviours in order to achieve their higher results. The process of the product’s introduction is often time consuming, it is associated with spending a lot of costs (Bloodgood McFarland 2004). However, the benefits of the process are also great, and this strategy helps firms to improve the performance within the definite market or to enter a new market, a nd contribute to the company’s global performance. The company can reduce the risk of failure during the process of the new product introduction focusing on balancing the costs and usage of technologies after the proper analysis of the market, tendencies in its development, customers’ needs and expectations (Wan Hoskisson 2003). From this point, the strategy should be directed toward the development of the qualitatively new product which differs much from the existing proposals within the industry.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Strategic Growth and Issues Associated with the Strategic Direction specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Patent and Design Policies If the company’s global presence as the strategic direction depends on the introduction of the new product within the market with references to the expansion of the market participation, it is also necessary to concentrate on the question of the patent and design protection. The initiation costs should be connected with the costs for the necessary technological research and development of the innovative approach to the product. The introduction of the new product is usually associated with utilising the specific innovations. From this point, the new product should be protected with the help of patent and design laws. The introduction of the new product often means the introduction of the exclusive product within the market because such a strategy guarantees the increase of the customers’ interest to the product and company’s activities. To protect the exclusiveness of the product and prevent the other firms from imitating the effective aspects of product, it is necessary to develop the effective strategy toward using the patent and design laws. The evaluation of the product’s quality and practicality is closely connected with the development of the effective patent which can protect the companyâ €™s innovation and contribute to its development. For instance, the activities of the VTL Group and its success with customers are affected by the focus on innovation and modern technologies with references to the protection of the company’s intellectual property. The strategy used by the company in relation to the patent and design protection can be discussed as effective when it involves business operations significantly (Hill Jones 2009). Thus, the development of the new product can influence the role of competitors within the market and contribute to the company’s taking the higher positions within the industry. Global Presence The next important concern is the problem of expansion into new markets improving the global presence and basing on the introduction of the new product. The expansion into new markets is an important step for the company which requires following the effective strategy. The main components of the strategic direction connected with the im provement of the global presence and expansion into new markets are the evaluation of the market’s potential, its attractiveness, the competitors’ role, and the barriers for entry. To propose the company’s new product or developed brand within the global market, the firm is responsible for identifying the most important markets for entry.Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More The process of entering the new market can be prolonged and challengeable (Mas-Ruiz, Nicolau-Gonzalbez, Ruiz-Moreno 2002). Operating the examples of such firms as Toyota or Nissan, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the set of realistic time limits is necessary to plan the effective strategy and respond to the main issues. Developing the introduction of the new product depending on the expansion into new markets, the company aims to follow the market diversification strategy which can contribute to the company’s global presence if the company is able to overcome the internal and external barriers. The company’s entry into the new markets is associated with focusing on exporting the products which can respond to the customers’ needs and expectations globally (Palpacuer Parisotto 2003). It is also important to take into account the possible instability of markets in order to be ready to change the strategic approach. Much attention should be paid to the firm’s flexibility as the significant aspect to operate within the competitive global market (Harris 2002). The external expansion can be discussed as successful when the company’s profits increase with references to using new markets and acting according to the trends within the global market. From this perspective, the company should refer to the strategic drivers in order to promote the competitive advantage. The risks can be overcome when all the possible barriers and challenges are determined before the strategy’s implementation. That is why, the evaluation of internal and external environments is important to develop the most effective approaches to the strategy’s implementation (Palpacuer 2006). Thus, global presence and performance depend on the ability of the company to meet the global tendencies and develop the product meeting the requirements of the potential customers which should be of higher quality and practicality. Culture and Gende r Issues One more concern which should be discussed with references to the strategic direction is the role of culture and gender in expansion into the new markets. Researchers focus on the idea that today the participation of women in strategic management depend on the principles of the gender-egalitarian approach with references to the particular features of different cultures (Brandl, Mayrhofer, Reichel 2007). However, there are also cultures in which the participation of women in the business development is not actively supported. From this point, it is important to pay attention to the cultural peculiarities of the regions where the company intends to participate in the market because many Asian cultures do not share the idea of the gender equality in business world (Ndubisi 2005). As a result, the business communication between companies and departments can be complicated with references to the cultural traditions and gender issues. Critical and Personal Reflection The Board o f Directors should focus on such issues as the new product introduction, patent and design protection, expansion into new markets, and culture and gender issues because these points are components of the company’s strategic development with its focusing on improvement and progress. Thus, the above-mentioned aspects can be discussed as the issues of strategic importance. It is necessary to examine these factors in their connection because they affect the firm’s development complexly. As a result, the introduction of the new product based on the usage of innovative technologies is almost impossible without the development of the effective patent and design policy. The development of the new product introduction strategy is the significant factor to enter the new markets and operate there successfully following the global trends and responding to the cultural peculiarities. I am inclined to support the opinion that the development of the more effective strategic direction should be based on discussing the mentioned factors to contribute to increasing the company’s competitive advantage. Thus, the strategic growth is closely connected with the effective strategic direction. To be able to overcome all the possible barriers and issues and respond to developing concerns, the company should evaluate not only the internal resources and potential but also the external markets and industry’s competitors in order to develop the most effective strategy. Organic, Gluten

Organic, Gluten Executive Summary Despite the recent spur in the concern for whole-wheat products and gluten-free food, the hype for healthy nutrition seems to have died down. This has triggered a major concern in the companies that produce organic bakery and other gluten free products.Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Organic, Gluten-Free Whole Grain Products specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Moreover, the emergence of new entrants in the specified industry has triggered not only a drop in prices and, thus, in revenues, but also a considerable decrease in the amount of customers for the company. Although the increase in competition rates can be viewed as an opportunity for the organisation to explore new opportunities in research and development by creating a new brand product and, therefore, define a new manner of marketing whole-wheat products to the target audience, the threat of losing an impressive part of the annual income is still quite tangible. Herein the necessity to revamp the company’s image and to reconsider some of the issues related to marketing and research and development lies. With the adoption of a more reasonable advertisement approach that will incorporate active use of modern media and a flexible financial policy, the baking company in question will be capable of becoming the leader in the specified industry. More importantly, this approach will allow for a complete reinvention of the industry. A complex approach, which will allow for creating a brand product and an interesting legend behind it, will help improve the revenues of the company and raise demand for whole-wheat products. Marketing Audit It is suggested that the marketing audit should be conducted on a monthly basis. Thus, major issues will be spotted and at the same time enough time will be left for introducing changes to the current marketing strategy.Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More In addition to the assessment of the marketing strategy efficacy, the audit will help review the effects of the external and the internal marketing environments on the overall course of the company (Phillips, 2014, p. 221). As far as the external elements of the marketing audit are concerned, it is essential to nail down the key specifics of the target customers. In the case in point, the basic characteristics of the denizens of the UK population, which are considered to be the key consumers of the whole grain products, must be identified. As a study shows, the decision process, which a typical buyer has to go through before selecting the desired product, presupposes that a compromise between three key elements, i.e., the price, the quality and the enjoyment of the product, should be made. Consequently, it will be essential that the pricing strategy along with a well established legend behind the b rand product, should be developed prior to offering the goods to the customers. In our company’s case, the emphasis must be put on the effects, which the brand product (i.e., the whole grains yogurt) is going to have on the customer and the taste properties which the product under consideration possesses. At present, the company’s products can be characterized by a very tasty flavor, yet the legend behind the key goods has not been developed well enough and does not stand out of the range of similar ideas. Therefore, it will be imperative that the customer should associate the company’s goods with a very specific idea, e.g., the idea of restoring one’s energy balance and consuming essential nutrients without the aftereffects that other products of a similar nature have (i.e., the digestion issues that regular yogurt may cause).Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Organic, Gluten-Free Whole Grain Products specifically for you for o nly $16.05 $11/page Learn More SWOT Analysis Strengths Great experience in the industry and a good grasp of the latest technologies in whole-wheat goods production; Equipment working perfectly and kept in a proper condition due to regular maintenance procedures; Adherence to the company’s ethics, which dictates that no fraudulent actions should be taken by the company staff; High quality standards and customer satisfaction as the top priority of the organisation; Incorporation of e-commerce into the company’s marketing framework and, therefore, the ability to promote the product to all denizens of the population Weaknesses Flaws in the marketing strategy, which does not allow for showcasing the benefits of the product; Dependency on the trends in dieting and, as a result, a major drop in the amount of customers once the fade dies down; Lack of a recognisable brand that the customers could relate to and, therefore, be inclined towards consumin g; Lack of a coherent leadership strategy, which could improve motivation rates among the staff and, thus, increase their performance efficacy. Opportunities Introduction of major innovations and the following reinvention of the food industry in general and the whole grain production area in particular; Major advance in the specified area and the following strengthening of the company’s position in the target market; Attainment of customer satisfaction through the improvement of communication between the customer and the company staff; Development of a new brand, which will represent the company in the target market and become a household name for whole grain products among the target audience; Design of an elaborate leadership strategy, which will help Threats Failure to locate the appropriate leadership strategy and, therefore, motivate the staff so that the performance rates could be enhanced; Emergence of new and more successful entrants, which will be capable of achieving more impressive results within a shorter amount of time; An unfortunate choice of the new brand and the resulting misrepresentation of the organisation. As the SWOT analysis shows, the company is currently in a desperate need for being revamped and having a brand product to promote. The specified need, however, can only be satisfied once a thorough marketing study is conducted and the key demands of the potential customers are identified. More to the point, it is crucial that the latter should also be distilled among the general audience and that the key methods of advertising the product to them should be identified. The SWOT analysis also shows quite clearly that the company lacks the product that could represent it in the realm of the UK market, not to mention the global environment. The design of the brand may not break new grounds, yet it has to be in line with the company’s vision, mission and ethics, which concern the provision of high quality produc ts to the customers and care for the latter’s health. In addition, the fact that the current leadership approach leaves much to be desired is clearly the point of major concern. Unless the organization establishes a proper leadership approach, the motivation of the staff will drop inevitably. It is suggested that transformative leadership style should be integrated into the company management. Thus, the organization will be capable of enhancing personal and professional responsibility in its staff, thus, leading to a major increase in their performance. It is assumed that incentives should be suggested so that people could become more loyal to the company and strive for better results. The Nestle subdivision producing whole grain food seems to be the key threat to the stability of the company. Since Nestle rarely promotes itself as the producer of whole grain food and the related products, it can be suggested that the organization under analysis should stake on organizing events that will help attract more attention to its products and, therefore, become the leader in the specified industry. Marketing Objectives As it has been stressed above, the company is currently facing the necessity to develop a brand product, as well create an attracting and interesting legend for it. Therefore, a successful introduction of the new product into the target market can be considered the key objective that the organisation should strive for achieving at present. Moreover, several types of media should be used in the course of the product marketing. To be more specific, traditional media, including TV commercials, advertisements in magazines, booklets with a full list of the products suggested by the organisation, billboard advertisements, etc., will be utilised for attracting the audience’s attention on a par with the modern media tools, e.g., social networks. Apart from the specified objectives, the company will be striving towards promoting not only its goods, but also its image as the company that values its customers and cares about their health. This will require that the organization should reconsider its current values and make the promotion of healthy lifestyle its basic mission. It is assumed that the entrance to both supplier and influ encer markets will help the company promote itself and reach the top of the modern food industry. Marketing Strategies Viral Marketing As far as marketing strategies are concerned, viral marketing should be viewed as the basis for the company’s promotion technique development (Chaston Mangles 2002, p. 33). In fact, making viral marketing should be incorporated into the company’s marketing approach as the extension of the organisation’s vision. Indeed, seeing that the company puts a very strong emphasis on healthy lifestyle and the promotion thereof to the target population, the idea of raising awareness on the subject matter through viral marketing makes quite a lot of sense. Diversity Marketing However, apart from the specified strategy, diversity marketing must be included into the organisation’s approach as well. Seeing that the company will target at attracting a variety of customers of both genders, coming from various backgrounds and representing v arious nationalities and ethnicities, the company will have to develop several methods of marketing depending on the target demographics (Andreason 2001, p. 109). Online and E-Mail Marketing As it has been stressed above, the incorporation of modern information technology is vital for the company’s progress; therefore, the Internet should also be viewed as the place, where the company can promote its goods (Baker 2003, p. 28). Moreover, the use of the Internet will help attract younger audience, whereas the traditional media can be considered the tool for inviting the older one to try the company’s products. Online marketing is a perfect way of advertising the company’s goods. However, with the emergence of browser extensions, which block advertisements (e.g., AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, etc.), online marketing has become quite pointless. Therefore, e-mail marketing (i.e., sending the target customers e-mails regularly) must be viewed as an option. E-mail marketing, however, should be used very carefully, as many people find consistent messages with little of essential information rather obnoxious. Social Media Marketing and Cross Media Marketing It is impossible to underrate the significance of social media in most people’s lives. Therefore, the company cannot possibly overlook the chance to promote its goods to the target audience without seeming too insistent. At this point, the importance of gaining loyalty among the users of social networks is essential for the company in question. By subscribing to the newsfeed that will be provided regularly by the company via its social network profile, people will be able to learn more about the company’s products, its vision, mission and brands, and, therefore, will soon become interested in the goods that the firm has to offer. Because of a high level of diversity among the ranks of the company’s target demographics, the significance of traditional media is not to be forgotten, e ither; thus, it will be required to place advertisements on billboards and public transport. By crossing several types of media in its endeavours of speaking to as many denizens of the state’s population as possible, the company will engage in the so-called cross media marketing. Measurement Plans and Reviewing Naturally, it will be necessary to develop a framework for evaluating the company’s progress. While it is quite tempting to restrict the company’s evaluation to the use of a standard framework, it is desirable that a specific assessment plan should be developed based on the existing methods (Cranfield School of Management 2000, p. 11). First and most obvious, the financial progress made by the company, i.e., the increase in its annual revenue, should be evaluated. In order to carry out the assessment, one will have to compare the results displayed by the firm in 2015 to the ones that the company will deliver at the end of 2016 with the help of financial a udits (‘Company assessment’ 2014). A combination of a SWOT analysis (Ayub et al. 2013, p. 92) and the comparison between the financial statement of 2015 and 2016 will be required in order to provide a detailed overview of the changes that the company will have undergone by the time (Doyle 2002, p. 23). It would also be a good idea to incorporate the Millennium Development Goals (Spitzer Martinuzzi 2013, p. 4) into the assessment as the staple of a proper analysis of the company’s progress. Apart from the aforementioned tools, the evaluation of the leadership style efficacy (Kotler, Lane Keller K 2009, p. 118) will be required. The specified assessment must be twofold, as it will incorporate the evaluation of the staff’s motivation and the change in the social and professional responsibility rates among the stuff as a result of the change in the leadership approach. As far as the motivation assessment tool is concerned, an integration of several framework s will also be required so that the slightest alterations in the behavioural patterns of the employees should be easily traceable. Finally, the evaluation of the company’s sustainability will be required so that the progress should be clear and that the problem issues should be located easily. The sustainability assessment, in its turn, can be carried out with the help of the instruments such as the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (Samuel-Fitwi et al. 2012, p. 185) and the S-CORE Sustainability Assessment (‘S-COREâ„ ¢ Sustainability Assessment’ 2015, para. 1). Contingency/Risk Factors Naturally, certain risks are expected in the process of establishing the company in the new market and creating the brand that will supposedly revolutionise the industry. An alternative evolution of the target market, which has not been taken into account in the business plan, is the key threat to the company’s further progress. Indeed, as it has been stressed above, t he hype for healthy food may eventually disintegrate and the whole grain products will become unclaimed among the target audience. One must admit, though, that a smart advertisement campaign, which will support the idea of healthy diet, will help address the specified issue by attracting people’s attention to the problem an prompting them to reassess their views on the subject matter. Another risk associated with the marketing campaign concerns the product risk. While creating a whole grain product, such as yogurt, is a possibility for an organisation that operates in the food industry, there is still a major threat of the company failing to add the unique element that will make the brand instantly recognisable. Indeed, seeing that the concept of whole grain yogurt is not new and that several organisations have already introduced similar projects to the global market, the company will have to be especially inventive in the description of the production technology and the lege nd behind the brand. The fact that the efficacy of leadership strategy has not been verified yet may also be considered a major threat to the company’s performance and, therefore, quite a palpable threat for the organisation’s existence. It should be noted, though, that the lack of cohesion in determining the marketing approach and the development of a proper motivational strategy for the staff to deliver better results shows that the company lacks transformative leadership. Herein the necessity to switch to the above-mentioned leadership approach lies. Conclusion Becoming a recognised brand in the food industry is not easy, especially when aiming at its whole grain products field. Because of the inconsistency in their enthusiasm towards the consumption of healthy food, target customers may be irresponsive towards the marketing campaign held by the company. Therefore, an array of tools for tricking people into paying attention to the product, including the creation of a unique brand with an original legend behind it can be considered a solution to the problem. By incorporating several tools for assessing the efficacy of the proposed plan, one will be able to not only identify the areas, where the plan in question succeeded, but also retrieve instructions on the issues that need further improvement, as well as the strategies, which will allow the company become even more successful in the target market. It is expected that the adoption of the plan described above will help the organisation become one of the market leaders and raise its annual income by at least 20%, thus, setting the premises for the future revenue streak. Heres a Format to Use for Your Law School Resume

Heres a Format to Use for Your Law School Resume Your  law school resume  can be one of the most important parts of your application and you probably already know it shouldn’t follow the same format as a general resume for employment. You want to give the admissions council the best summary of your most important work, experiences, and skills.   Below youll find a general template for you to follow when writing your law school resume, but remember, before you start writing, you should always ask yourself some  basic information-gathering questions  so you’re all set up to just fill in these categories. Consult your pre-law advisor and your college’s career services center if you have any questions and make sure several people review your resume. Also, feel free to play around with the titles of categories as well as the order; if something doesn’t make sense to include in your resume, or if you feel something else should be highlighted in a different way, don’t be afraid to make your law school resume fit your qualifications after all, it is yours and should put your achievements in the best possible light. For example, if you speak ten languages, you should think about having a whole section simply called â€Å"Languages† to make that stand out. If you’ve consistently held leadership roles in organizations, you may choose to create a category entitled â€Å"Leadership.† Main Categories of Law School Resumes Education List the college institution, location (city and state), degree or certificate earned including areas of study, and the year you earned it. If you didn’t earn a degree or certificate, list the dates of attendance. You should also include study abroad experiences here. You may also list your GPA and GPA in your major for each institution attended (especially if higher than your overall GPA); you can also include your class rank, but only if it will look impressive (anything lower than top 30% probably doesn’t need to be included). Honors Awards List any honors and awards you have achieved and what year you earned them. Don’t list high school or high school achievements unless they’re extraordinary like you were in the Olympics and if you were in the Olympics, you might consider having a whole other section just on your athletic career as you probably have received other related awards as well. Employment, Work Experience, or Experience List your position, the name of the employer, location (city and state), and the dates you were employed there. If it was a part-time position during school, list the number of hours you worked per week, but not if it was only two or three. Also list your job duties under each one, making sure to note any recognition or special achievements (for example, increased sales by 30% in your first year as a section manager, etc.). Quantifying your work for each organization, if possible, makes it easier for admissions to see how and what you contributed. Always start your job descriptions with strong action words (directed, lead, mentored, organized, etc.) to convey purpose and direction. Skills, Achievements Other Activities In this section, you can list foreign languages, membership in other organizations, and basically anything else you’d like to highlight in your experiences that haven’t yet made it onto your law school resume. Some applicants use this section to list their technical proficiencies including any computer programs they have experience with. This is one of the sections you may consider renaming according to your personal experiences.

Companies have always found it hard to balance pressing operational Essay

Companies have always found it hard to balance pressing operational concerns with long-term strategic priorities,DISCUSS - Essay Example This may be due to various reasons and mangers are often at the cross roads. Assigning priorities and making decisions becomes a challenge for the business managers when they have to decide what are the sacrifices that have to be made to get along in business. Hence, this essay focuses on the analysis of what causes the companies to compromise on their strategic plans. When a company formulates the strategy, first an internal and external environmental analysis has to be carried out. When we are planning for the future first the organization should have awareness about the internal and external environmental factors that can impact the organization. â€Å"When the environment audit is undertaken, the objective is to develop a finite list of opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses. Here the word finite list is emphasized because the job of the manager is t not make an exhaustive list of all the factors that may affect the organization. But focus should be on key environmental variables that could influence business†1. The importance of the environmental analysis is mostly realized by organizations but the depth of the analysis is often compromised. For example in Toyota corporation, there is a management concept â€Å"to go to the roots†. The meaning of this concept is that, when we are collecting information for analysis, th e information should be collected from the source or in other words from the origin. When an external environmental analysis is done with information collected from the sources and decisions are made based on such in-depth data, the applicability and durability of strategic plans are considerably increased. The information from the external environment should be used to tune up the internal environment to meet the challenges and make good of the opportunities. When an organization needs to possess a competitive advantage its focus should be internalized rather externalized. The ability of a business concern to focus on its

Reducing your carbon footprint Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Reducing your carbon footprint - Research Paper Example The term itself, Carbon Footprint, has very little to do with drawings or the footsteps we make in the sand. In this case, the term is a metaphor for the way that our activities impact the resources of the planet. Carbon Footprints relate to the way we use the natural resources of the planet and how fast we use it. Therefore, a Carbon Footprint: â€Å"... is a shorthand to describe the best estimate that we can get of the full climate change impact of something. That something could be anything – an activity, an item, a lifestyle, a company, a country or even the whole world.† (Berners - Lee, Mike â€Å"What is a Carbon Footprint?†). Using this definition, it is easy to understand that we all participate in releasing carbon emissions and leaving our carbon footprints on the planet. Everything we do, from breathing to throwing away a piece of chewed up gum, has a direct effect on the health of the planet and our environment overall. That is why it is of the utmost importance that we learn to reduce our carbon footprints as we live our lifetime. Global warming is the method by which our planet is letting us know that it is ill. Since the signs of illness exist, it is up to us to cure it of the illness. Unlike human beings who can go to doctors for medication, our planet works differently. We are all its doctor. Our actions can either cure the illnes of make everything worse. According to Hayley Morris, founder and director of Impact Sustainability: Effective carbon management strategies along with corporate social responsibility provide us, as individuals and as businesses, with the foundation to ease that pressure and reduce the size of our carbon footprint that is stamping down on the tail of our beloved environment. Until recently as a society we have been coasting along the same old road, consuming every part of the environment we can possibly get our hands on without any regard for or awareness of the damage we may be doing to it (Morris , Hayley â€Å"reducing Carbon Footprint Benefits You and the Environment†). In other words, we are the cause of what is ailing the planet. By actively pursuing activities that increase carbon emissions into the air and decrease the planet's ability to reproduce our needed natural supplies such as food and chemicals for exygen creation, we are stifling the planet's ability to grow and nurture our existence on it. Climate change is a serious problem that is directly affected by the carbon footprint emissions that we make. In order to slow down or cure the problem, we must strive towards reducing these carbon footprint emissions as best as we can. For starters, we can do simple things such as unplugging appliances when not in use, using public transport or biking once or twice a week to reduce carbon monoxide in the air, buying energy efficient appliances, and properly insulating our homes for the cold months. By implementing these changes, we will find that reducing our carbon footprints also has positive outcomes for us as individuals. For example, opting to walk or take a bike ride rather than taking the car of public transport during short trips will increase our physical activity. This will lead to â€Å"reduced obesity and heart disease among the population while also providing our environment with reduced global CO2 emissions, small particle pollution, noise, and injuries. Another health related benefit of reduced carbon footprints is that by making better dietary choices, such as

Review on Sunrise :: essays papers

Review on Sunrise Introduction to Cinema Studies Assessment Task 2 For this assignment I have chosen question 2 on the discussion of a particular edit. The film I have chosen to discuss is Sunrise, and the edit is from the portion of the film where the lady from the city and the husband are discussing the city at the lake. I chose this particular edit for a couple of reasons the first being that for it’s time the effect it produces is quite remarkable. It’s also the scene that caught my eye and held it for the longest period. Visually rich without the need of sound. The edit flows through a variety of images and the shots that surround it are filled with references and common cliches that get the point across. The edit is graphically continuous as it dissolves from shot to shot without any solid cuts. We begin with the city girl telling the husband that he should come to the city. The scene then dissolves to an image of a huge brass band busily and noisily at play. This shot is in complete contrast to the serenity of the still country and the bright silent moonlight. The edit then continues to dissolve into an angled shot of a city street teeming with people hurriedly about their business. This shot is dissolved with that of the band, creating the feeling of organised chaos. This dissolve reiterates the hustle and bustle feeling of the city in contrast to that of the country. The edit then dissolves back to the scene at the waterfront where the city girl is dancing away to the imagery she has created through her tales to the husband. He stares at her wide-eyed as the cliche’ country person reacts to the big city, almost hypnotically. I believe that this edit encompasses most of the major themes of the film. Firstly we are given a rivalry or good Vs evil, or slow Vs fast, or nature Vs cocnrete. The good countryman meets dazzling evil city girl and is hypnotized by the glitz and glamour. On one hand we are shown the serenity of the lake and through the dissolves we are brought into a fast pace with the band and the people, that finishes with a lakeside jive from the city girl. The edit creates an increasing rhythmic relationship. It gives you the feel of stepping on the gas pedal. It starts at a solid stable shot that in its entirety from still water to still people gives us the feeling of dead calm.

The Management And Human Resource Department - 2136 Words

As per the request of the strategic management team, this report will summarize my findings between the two management styles which are traditional and contemporary. This analysis will show how these two management styles will change the way we control our marketing, operations and human resource department. Our goal at Melted Makeup and Spa is to maintain a steady growth in sales while reducing our costs. I recommend implementing some of these new management models to our current departments because that is the way we will be able to grow Melted Makeup and Spa to its full potential. Marketing Department A contemporary method of marketing that can be effectively utilized to benefit us is social media. This will be vital in the†¦show more content†¦However, the difference is the sole focus of these two sites are the sharing of pictures. This will prove to be extremely valuable as it is the perfect place to encourage our clients to take pictures of the beauty services they have received and they can share them with others. YouTube is unique for that it will allow us to demonstrate our work in video form and engage a large amount of viewers. LinkedIn is the ideal place for our franchise to be able to connect with other professionals. The use of social media is definitely one of the most effective ways that businesses advertise themselves. With all of the strong advantages social media offers for advertising and marketing, it’s easy to forget that there are some negatives that exists with the use of it. Putting a business online allows customers to have the ability of being able to share their criticisms in a public way that could have the possibility of deterring potential clients. This is how the online sharing community can also greatly harm a business. The extent a business can go to, to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency with their services will sometimes be disregarded. This is because unsatisfied customers will always be present, and they will make their presence known. This is how the online sharing community has the ability to severely harm a business. The length a business can go to ensure customer satisfaction by being efficient with their services will sometimes
